A prayer for the weekend

The Tapestry prayer

God of all hope
We give you thanks
For all things woven and for those things still to be: Out of pain, you weave joy;
Out of our squares, you weave a tapestry;
Out of separateness, you weave a whole;
The tapestry is woven together from many lives as a symbol of hurt and hope
May everyone find a new pattern
in your mercy and love
May we share a new vision of what could be
May we open our eyes to resurrection
To love greater than fear
To hope beyond death
And to the new life which binds us together in Christ Jesus. Amen.

The tapestry prayer is based on a tapestry woven by the survivors of abuse, CSSA

  1. Amen.........Lord you have always been my hope.....throughout my life with an alcoholic husband in South Africa, through my starting again alone at mid life in England.......and through 2013-14 of surgery and chemotherapy, through bringing back my creativity again so that I can put the story into my artwork.........and so much more.....I thank you for all you have given me, all you have done for me....and I praise You with all my hope will always be in You.....thank you Father.
    Thank you H for this lovely prayer, I pray God's richest blessings over you, Ellen.

  2. Thank you for your encouragement- bless you ... God is good - all the time, all the time God is good

It is my prayer that my words may be of some comfort or may bless you in some way...I love to hear from you and your journeys...every blessing H
